Ric Nudell grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He lived for several years in Ann Arbor, Michigan where he helped start Wildflour Community Bakery. Ric also taught in a Technical High School in Barre, Vermont for 30+ years.

Ric currently lives in western Massachusetts with his wife, two dogs and a cat. In addition to writing, he gardens, cuts and splits firewood, and goes on trail runs with the dogs
